Biography
Louise Harris has worked in the journalism field since she graduated in 1989 from the University of Maryland College of Journalism. She is an expert on environmental reporting and editing. She has covered all levels of government and edited 10-page newsletters. She has written columns on recycling and community events.
In addition to reporting experience, Louise has arranged book signings, sent press releases, designed brochures, edited books and arranged community events. For some clients, she edited manuscripts and submitted them to publishers. Louise also counseled her clients on the publishing industry and markets.
Louise has written poems, short stories and songs. The 1776 Scroll of Secrets is her first novel.

In 2009, she published her second novel, The 1776 Bed and Breakfast. When she is not writing or editing, Louise volunteers for her church and her children's schools. She lives in St. Petersburg, Fla., with her husband, Patrick; three children, David, Alex and Kelley; and two cats, Vito and Ash. The 1776 Musket was released in 2017. Notorious Nick and the Terrifying Tornado was released in 2017. The 1776 Soldier is expected this year.
She was chairwoman of the program committee of Maryland Writers Association, secretary/treasurer of Maryland Pro Chapter of Society of Professional Journalists. She is a member of B'More Creatives, University of Maryland Alumni Association, Upper Darby High School Alumni Association, Let's Talk Business Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay Networkers. She is president of the Bay Area Professional Writers Guild Inc.
